The supplement industry is full of noise. Every product claims to be “clinically proven,” every landing page has a countdown timer, and every review site seems to rank the same five products as “the best.” Health Supplements Lab exists to cut through that.
We’re an independent publisher focused on one thing: helping men evaluate wellness supplements — sexual health, testosterone support, and anti-aging/HGH products — using the same questions a genuinely skeptical buyer would ask before spending their own money.
Why We Started This
Most supplement “review” sites are really just sales pages wearing a review layout — every product scores 9+/10, every article ends with a discount code, and there’s no real comparison happening. We wanted something different: a site that’s willing to say a popular product is mediocre, that explains why a formula works or doesn’t, and that treats readers like adults who can handle nuance instead of a hard sell.
What We Do
We research and compare men’s wellness supplements so you don’t have to spend hours reading forum threads and marketing pages yourself. That means:
- Breaking down what’s actually in a formula, and at what dose
- Explaining what the ingredients are supposed to do, in plain language
- Pulling together real user feedback instead of just cherry-picked testimonials
- Comparing price, guarantee terms, and value against similar products in the same category
- Being upfront when a product is underwhelming, overpriced, or just not worth it
Our Review Process
We apply the same process to every product we cover, whether it’s a market leader or a newer brand:
1. Ingredient breakdown. We list every active ingredient and its dose, and compare that against the amounts typically used in published research. A lot of products include trendy ingredients at doses too low to matter — we call that out directly.
2. Evidence check. We look at what research actually exists for each ingredient. Where a product has its own published study, we say so — that’s a meaningfully higher bar than “the ingredients are studied.” Where evidence is thin or ingredient-level only, we say that too.
3. Transparency check. We flag proprietary blends that hide individual ingredient amounts behind a single combined dose. If a label won’t tell you what you’re actually taking, that’s a red flag, not a minor detail.
4. User feedback review. We read through verified customer reviews across multiple sources to get a realistic sense of what people experience — not just the five-star reviews a brand chooses to feature.
5. Value assessment. We calculate cost per serving and weigh it against the dose and quality on offer. A cheaper product using clinically irrelevant amounts isn’t actually a better deal.
6. Guarantee check. We check whether the manufacturer backs the product with a real, honored refund window — and note any conditions that make a “guarantee” harder to use than it sounds.
What We Won’t Do
- We won’t tell you a product “cures,” “treats,” or “guarantees” anything — that’s not how supplements work, and any site claiming otherwise is misleading you.
- We won’t hide behind vague praise. If a product is mediocre, we say so, even if it means a lower-converting review.
- We won’t recommend something purely because it pays a higher commission. Our commission rate has no bearing on our verdict.
Who’s Behind This Site
Health Supplements Lab is an independent publisher, not a medical practice, a clinic, or a research institution. We are not doctors, and nothing on this site is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Always talk to a qualified healthcare provider before starting any supplement — especially if you take medication, have an existing health condition, or are unsure whether a product is right for you.
How We Make Money
We earn a commission when you buy through some of the links on this site. This comes from the manufacturer, at no extra cost to you — you pay the same price whether you use our link or go directly to the brand. This is how we fund the time it takes to research and write in-depth content, and it’s fully disclosed on every page that contains affiliate links. It does not change our verdict: we’d rather tell you honestly that a product isn’t worth it than push a sale on something we don’t trust.
A Note on What You’ll Find Here
Supplement research is rarely black-and-white. Some ingredients have strong clinical backing; others are more “traditionally used” than “clinically proven.” We try to be precise about that distinction in every review, rather than blurring the line to make a product sound more impressive than the evidence supports. If something isn’t well-studied, you’ll hear that from us directly.
